From Emma Smart. Those bum slappers at ASDA are meant to be stocking them across the water too.

I intended of posting up the mural of mammary that resided outside the Bernard Shaw in Dublin which brightened up my mornings the past couple of weeks on my way to work. However some fun killing feminists (probably lezzers) decided to ruin it for everyone by spraying over it and scrawling “You can be funny without being sexist” or some  shite to that effect. Well I considered the ‘Honk if you like boobs’ piece a celebration of the almighty chesticles and am saddened by it’s absence.

Comfort food (or early houses) eliminates those Sunday blues, the Good Mood Food blog has some excellent recipes on it and I believe he also has a book of deliciousness out to. Just check out this gooey chocolate pud and swedish cinnabuns and salivate accordingly.

After months upon months of “I have to get that and make a dinner” I finally did. I didn’t buy it though. Dragons Den success story Levi Root’s Reggae Reggae Sauce was kindly gifted to me by my girlfriend. Needless to say I was oh so very excited to ignite my tastebuds with the aromas and flavours of Jamaica (kindly distributed by AB World Foods Ltd, Lancashire). I lashed some on some fried chicken strips with some rice n’ pea and Lordy Lordy it was only gorgeous! I recommend.

toejam

It’s never as nice when you try to make it yourself at home. Mine tasted like burned toast and tomato ketchup. Last Saturday I joined other bloggers at 10th Bloggers Brunch in the warm and friendly confines of Milanos in Dun Laoghaire for some scrumptious Italian dishes that included the Bruschetta (that I tried and failed to recreate), Cannelloni and a sweet Lemon Tart. As always I learn something new at the FBB table. Ladyhawke sucked live, In The Loop is a funny flick that I should see, Citron 2cv’s are very unreliable, Sneaky Fianna Fail made their graphic designers hide the party logo in election posters and TEFL courses aren’t about non-stick pans. After that I dropped Kitty Cat miles away from her preferred destination thanks to the one way and just plain awkward infrastructure that Dublin City Center beholds and made my way to the Toejam Carboot Sale at the Bernard Shaw where I scored this Puma gym bag for a fiver and badass gun badge which came with a bonus box of Smarties. My aquaintances rooted out some bargain booty in the form of nautical shoes, band jackets, check pants and Telecom Eireann worker tops.

Not since Craig David released the epic rn’b anthem ‘What’s Your Flava?’ in two thousand dickity-two have I been as excited to answer that very query but the Dairy Godfathers that are Ben & Jerrys are putting it to me and the rest of Ireland again in the Do The World A Flavour Competition. Buzz over to benandjerrys.ie and get mixing in their virtual flavour lab with the helpful cow in a chef hat. Choose chunks and swirls galore and then come up with a clever n’ catchy name to accompany your concoction! The winning maestro of ingredients will get to travel to the Dominican Republic and witness the benefits of Fairtrade on a cocoa farm, alongside Ben, Jerry and our flavour gurus. Not only that but the overall global winner will see their flavour on the shop shelves in 2010!! So what are you waiting for?!

saba

I returned earlier from the 9th Fashion Bloggers Brunch after a much needed and very much appreciated meal courtesy of the fantastic SABA of Clarendon Street. Is maith liom Thai grub and this being my first time to enter SABA’s stylish eatery I left a satisfyingly full and happy chappy. I had the Hoisin Duck Rolls, Bangkok Noodles (I only realised afterwards when my nose was running that the 3 asterisks meant extremely spicy and not extremely nice, which of course it was!) and a sumptuous chocolate pudding that was actually worthy of a top spot above doing the bold thing. A massive thanks to fashion queen-bee and all round super lady Annmarie O’ Connor from I Blog Fashion for organizing the deal and spoiling us all yet again with goody bags that included SABA delights and some product goodness from Yes To Carrots which a lady friend has badgered me to give to her. I’ll replace the above empty photo once I steal a photo from another blogger! Bring on the FFB X!

My 2 year old nephew uses his hands as cutlery so he’s more like slob the builder than bob the builder. I think this could help from Flying Peas.
