You may well have seen this already but for those who haven’t take a moment and rejoice.

Someone from the “Leprechaun Museum” called me in work. “Oooooh right” I said, “I’ve been there LOADS of times (are you taking the piss?)”. They weren’t, it’s in fact open to the public and while you won’t see any midgets draped in Carrolls finest you can “experience what it’s like to live in a leprechaun-sized world and journey to the end of the rainbow to see if the elusive crock of gold really exists.” So they’ve made some pieces of giant furniture. I’ll report back when I go next week. Tickets available here.

Hailing from the Cork/Kerry region of Ireland this family outfit has garnered a somewhat loyal cult following most notably among the gay community which resulted in a tribute to the rising rural superstars by Panti and co. They’ve already had a write up in the Irish Times and Matt Cooper was pitching them for Eurovision on Today Fm earlier. China, the U.S and other territories have been sniffing around the talented Burke family but lets hope they ditch the bright lights of Beijing and bring Ireland back the illusive Eurovision title we so desperately crave.

obama-sushi

None other than Mr. Obama which I found on the boredom cure of a  blog that was recommended by a couple people to me during the week. I New Idea is full of quality quirk which of course I love and this is just a sample of the wonderfully entertaining crap they do posts on.

We love good gadgetry here at trendspot and when I saw this on telly this morning I just wanted them to mess around with. Each glove can play 8 notes in the key of C (you press on the heel of the hand to change the middle three fingers to the last 3 notes of the scale). Volume and tempo are controlled by a speaker unit that is wired to the gloves and is rechargable using a USB connection. From find-me-a -gift.com
