I like KOL, from when they didn’t use hair gel and had mad beards. Even after that cringey ‘Use Somebody‘ video I still like them. I never thought they sold out, they paid their dues and went for the big time by writing big stadium songs. However upon hearing the opening millisecond of ‘Sex On Fire’ I’ll still switch that shit over in a flash. So they have teamed up with Paris based outfit Surface to Air for their own collection. Fair enough, they’re four good looking guys and impressionable young fellows will want to emulate their look of check shirts, chelsea boots and skinny jeans (all of which are in Topman and have been for an age). I predict these young fellows will not buy these forthcoming KOL wears, not even the cheapest garment… a red bandana. A steal at £65. For a second I thought the Followills’ were having a laugh, you know just taking the piss out of themselves just like they were in that ‘Use Somebody‘ video by driving muscle cars, playing pool and shooting the shit like regular jet-set guys in an über cheesy fashion. It’s not a joke though and the collection is available for sale at the end of the month.
God these are horrible. Much preferred them in their beardy days too
